I want a blackberry curve but need some answers?

I currently have a nokia 5800 and want to buy a blackberry curve 8250. If i buy one of these and put the vodafone contract sim card in that i already own. Will i be able to use the internet and Instand messenger on the blackberry? PLEASE HELP! :)

i made the same change and i'm happy with my Curve 8520, u can download some applications like Windows Live messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, mySpace, Facebook! it's wonderfull;-)
