How does GPS work on the BlackBerry?

My GPS won't work on my BlackBerry Curve 8520 phone?

  • I bought my BlackBerry sim free from Play about 3 weeks ago and put my contract Vodafone sim in. After contacting the network they added all BlackBerry features such as Maps, Blackberry messenger and applications such as Facebook. Everything else works completly fine but the GPS. When I try to refresh the data source it wont work, it just keeps saying GPS update failed. Is GPS built in and if it is how do I activate it or do I need something else to make it work. Any help appreciated

There is only one answer and you got it from zb---,8520 does not support,repeat NOT support GPS,o.k.bye-bye.

on your blackberry, push the menu button. then find the setup key. there should be one for gps. if there isn;t on your model curve, then do this. open your gps on the phone, then push the menu key. there should be activate in the drop down list that appears. if neither of these things work, call customer service and get tech support to walk you through it. good luck

dude i have a 8520 and alot of Applications do not work and so on...they are cheap for a reason: they suckkkkkk
