How do you delete a contact on a Palm Pre?

How do I get phone contacts out of Palm Pre and into Blackberry Storm?

  • I've called Sprint multiple times and the tech people are dumbfounded in trying to help me with this problem. They don't even know how to export the contacts, regardless of the destination. You can't bluetooth contacts away from the Pre, and Verizon doesn't yet have the Palm Pre software at the stores to enable you to port the contacts over. I have to leave my Palm Pre (tear rolls down cheek) and Sprint because I get next to no reception in my new home. Can anybody help? I've tried looking up my Palm profile - which is where my contacts are backed up - online, but all it lists is account info, not a contact list at all ...

    When I got my Pre, Sprint had not gotten the software yet and so I had to manually enter my contacts. I guess what I'm saying is that until Verizon gets the software, I don't think you'll be able to port them over. Until then, I'd suggest looking online and seeing if you can download the software yourself. Sorry about losing your Pre. I know I love mine!

You can setup Google Contacts as your main depository for all your contact information. Then export your data as CSV, Outlook, vCard format. 1. Setup an account through contacts.Google.com. 2. Add the your new Google Contacts account to your Palm Pre under 'Preferences & Accounts'. 3. Set your 'Default Account' as Google in your Palm Pre. 4. Click on the 'Sync Now' button. 5. Go to contacts.Google.com account and see that all of your contacts now have been synced and copied online. 6. Click on the 'Export' option through the Google Contacts page. Hopefully your Blackberry Storm has options on how to import comma delimitted files, Outlook, or vCard contact formats into the device. Good luck!

You cannot transfer contacts from one phone to another unless they are on the same system (IE you can transfer from the Pre to the Blackberry if its a sprint black berry) You will have to manually transfer (meaning punch them in one by one.)

Install BlackBerry Desktop Manager, From the Main Menu of DM, you can extract info from another phone. Just plug in your Pre, back up contact, then plug in your BlackBerry, that should work.
