Do I Have Warranty On My Broken PSP?

• I have a big smeer on my screen and would like to return it. i got it last september 2006. i have a 1 year warranty plan but i got it from best buy. Do you think they will give me a new psp. I have a receipt i don't think so because i heard they first check if everything is alright. that just crazy, i should have bought it from sears, they don't even look at it and give me another psp. Also if they don't have a psp in stock, they give you a opportunity to get another gameing system. One time i had a xbox they let me change it to a PS2. but that old times sake. Right now tell me do i have to really break the inside to get a new one. I heard one time someone went to change their xbox there, they said it was okay, but you know what his excuse was that the drives opener was broken but they said it works fine. If i go to change my psp, would they the same thing because of the scratches. If thats so i rather buy from somewhere else.

  Well, I buy most of my electronics from BestBuy and CircuitCity. For BestBuy, it is usually a 2 year warranty, but if you have the warranty card/pamphlet, or if you ask to get your directory checked into, they can see that you purchased the PSP there it might sometimes be a hassle because it takes a long time to be processed. If you get it repaired they will fix it, if they can't fix it the they replace it. If you do have to buy another one, however, then I suggest you buy it from CirCuitCity, because they have the best warranty and it costs less, the @+dvantage, is a great warranty.
