  • okay well ihad my iphone jailbroke on i think 4.0.1 i used jailbreakme.com i have a 3g and i used cydia to unlock it so i could use a carrier called dtc wireless and it was working but i downloaded green poision rc 5 and 6 casue my friends wanted me to jai,break there ipods so it worked i wanted to upgradfe my iphone to 4.2.1 and i was gonna use green poision to jailbreak but i soon found out green poision wont jailbreak a unactivated iphone mine became unactivated when i upgraded versions which i knew would happen but i though i could jailbreak anyone tell me how to downgrade or jailbreak it i dont really want to use sn0w tho

greenpoison only works for 3gs and iphone 4. if you have saved shsh blobs for previous os version, you can downgrade with tinyumbrella. but the problem is now your baseband is updated to the latest one so you can't unlock it even if you downgrade the os. you may have to wait until a unlock released or can use a commercial unlock like http://bit.ly/coMhz4

Next time, just keep tabs on the most current jailbreak teams. In the meantime, you can roll your iPhone back to your last firmware using TinyUmbrella. It's really simple, but you'll lose all your apps and have to re-jailbreak it.

yah green pois0n is supposto work i did it and everthing worker fine its probably that it dosent work on 3g

Greenpois0n rc5 will jailbreak 4.2.1 any device. Even if it does not work, jailbreakme.com for 4.2.1 will be coming soon (or so it says online).
