My psp won't charge or turn on, what does that mean?

My psp wont turn on i've tried all the things recommended and they don't work. What does bricked mean?

  • When I charge my psp the red light comes on but it will not turn on. When I take the battery out it will turn on for 10 seconds and then turns off. There is no display on the screen at any time. I've read about psp's being bricked but I don't know what this means. Any help anyone can give me would be great.

  • Answer:

Okay umm i know this most probs wont be the best answer, but bricked is a term used when a psp becomes as useful as a brick... This occurs through a likely update error or some other reasons which may have to be research... anyway there is ways to un-brick it and restore it without buyin a new psp ... so not all is lost... one method is Pandora's battery method,(you might have to wait for more info on this as i too is waiting on some info and a question,) Search google for pandora's battery for information.. also there are some nice tutorials on creating a pandoras battery.. however whether or not its as easy as they make it look is another thing lol hope this helps

bricked means that the psp is really no good and will only happen if you have cfw what you can try is taking out the battery and putting it on the charger and turning it on. if that doesnt work and you have cfw then get a pandora battery and try to reinstall the firmware.
