Need help with blackberry pearl?

Hi i need help! is there any possible way to block a number on a blackberry pearl? ?

  • okay, so i really need to block someone's number on my blackberry. this guy just keeps calling me and it's been a MONTH since i last spoke to him, but he keeps calling almost daily and leaves messages and he just doesn't seem to get it. but, i think blocking his number will make him realize to piss off. any chance i can do this? has anyone done it before? blackberry - pearl - verizon. thanks :)

  • Answer:

Your first bet is to contact your provider. They will likely be happy to block a harassing caller at their gateways. This can take a day or two, in the meantime the app in the bottom can block callers you enter into it without even ringing the phone. Kind of pricey at $50 but if the guy is a real **** it might be worth it. Best of luck

The Privacy Rights Clearinghouse has a great page entitled, "How to Put an End to Unwanted or Harassing Phone Calls" (cited below). It has all kinds of good solid info on blocking unwanted calls. A lot of the advice will depend on features available from your cell service provider. Good luck!

I say give that number or any number from that guy a specific ring tone so that you'll not even be bothered. You should be able to set it so that it actually neither rings nor vibrates when that number calls.

Call verizon and give them the number and they can block it for you.
