What is skype? is it worth it to get the new psp just for skype?

Skype is a communications device that works over the internet. You can use it on regular computers as long as you have enough bandwidth. You can set up an account for free then make free Skype to Skype calls on it (anyone in the world as long as they have a skype connection). You can also use it for cheap call rates as you can call landlines and mobiles from it and it's heaps cheaper to call overseas than a regular phone. You can also use it for chat (like MSN or Yahoo Messenger). It's much more sophisticated than those ones in my opinion. If you make lots of overseas calls, then it might be worth it.

Skype allows you to 'call' people around the world over the internet. People sometimes use it when they are going out of the country and don't want to pay long distance for a phone call. In addition to being able to speak with the people you call, you can also see them if they have a web cam. It is not worth getting the new psp because you can get it for FREE on your computer.

God no it's not worth it. It is where you can basically use it like a cell phone, which is really cool, but you need to be hooked online. So you would have to be at a hotspot 24/7. It's really pointless.
