You don't have enough information to answer this question. I would need to know how your home computer is attached to the Internet. Is it attache directly to the broadband modem? Are you using dial-up? Do you have a wireless card on your computer? The most common set up, is a wireless router hooked up to the broad band modem. In this configuration, all you need to do is select the wireless icon on you phone, and tell it to search for any wifi networks in the area. (Just like if you were in an Internet cafe.) If you have a wireless care on you computer, and it is directly connected to the broadband modem, it gets a little bit more complicated. First you have to make sure your computer is set to share the Internet connection. Then you have to put your wireless card on the computer into AD-Hawk mode. Finally you do the same to your phone. What happens is the wireless card will atomically attach to any other ad-hawk signals it finds. ( I would give you more specifics, but I don't know what version of Windows mobile you have on your phone, and I don't know what OS you have on your computer.)

The SSID is like the name of the WLAN you are setting up and you pick the name as a step in configuring the wireless router. The default SSID for a new Linksys wireless router is LINKSYS for example. I give mine my initials+net (ABCnet). You can use up to 32 characters from your keyboard. Bottom line... The SSID is located in the configuration screens of your router. To find the SSID of your WLAN you would need to enter the configuration screens of the router by accessing it with your Internet browser at URL address of the router, 192.168.1.1 for a Linksys for example. Other makes may be different, like D-Link is 192.168.0.1. Need any more info? You can find more info in your wireless router manual. If you lost your manual, you can most likely download a pdf version of it from the manufacturer's web site.
