Don't need to lie, just ask to have the Subsidy Unlock Code. I have never had to give a reason in all the years I have had GSM phones, through At&t or T-Mobile. If you feel you just have to lie, just say you want to use local SIM cards when you travel in Europe. They will pretty much know you are lying anyway, so why make up a store about how you are some sort of jet setter? LOL
