Anybody know of a good site to download ebooks for a decent price?

kindle only allows ebooks from Amazon's website if you want to be able to access ebooks from another source, you will have to root the device the only other option is to rent ebooks through your local library, which many support.

The Kindle will read ebooks in .mobi format, which is sold by most independent online ebook sellers. Anything published before 1923 is in the public domain and can be legally downloaded for free. Gutenberg.org and manybooks.net both have a large library. Speaking of which, check with your local library and see if they loan ebooks.
