    Select "Manage Connections" icon, and select "Mobile Network". Sometimes after replacing the battery or reboot the radio is turned off.

Hey.. I just had the same problem with My Pearl.. I called Alltel support.. We removed the battery (without Powering Down), we then waited for about 15seconds replaced the battery and the device Automatically booted back up.. When it came on my "radio" was back on.. The reason we did this was because under the "Manage Connections" icon I couldn't just "turn-on" or activate the "radio".. The Tech guy told me that this happens to phones that don't power down after being on for a day or two.. I guess thats right because my phone had been on for about 24hours straight.. Not sure we'll see. Kinda hokkie if you ask me..
