How to deal with timeout when accessing a web service?

Palm TX accessing the web?

  • anyone have experience with the Palm TX ?I have no experience with PDA's,but need the Palm OS and the TX seems like the best choice but I don't understand Bluetooth Technology ... my understanding is that with the Wifi I should be able to access the web,do i need a service plan for this?on the Bluetooth what is the least expensive phone for Verizon that could be used with the TX ?

  • Answer:

If you can get to a place with free WiFi access, ie public library, Panera Bread (http://www.panerabread.com) all you have to do is to press the far most right button on the TX (Globe icon). This will immediately initiate Palm's Blazer browser and take you to the default home page: www.mobile.palm.com. Cruise / surf away. No service plan needed provided you can get to a free WiFi access point. JiWire also will advise you of WiFi points in your locale. Usually the public libraries are free access points or you sign on using your library card ID number. http://jiwire.com/ For a list of compatible phones with the TX go to: http://www.palm.com/us/support/downloads/phonelink.html Good luck.
