Which digital reader to buy?

Which e-reader should i buy.?

  • hello I am a uni student who wants to buy a e-reader for use at uni. i am dyslexic/dysgraphic and have been given all of my text books from the university in pdf format. i was thinking of buying either a kindle touch, from the on-line kindle store or a kobo touch from jb hi fi. they are around the same price, (unless i buy kindle from dicksmiths) and i was wonder which one would be better to annotate notes for uni on and read pdf and epub documents. also if anyone has any experiences buying kindle direct off the Amazon sight rather then from dicksmiths.

    I would recommend the kindle... There are very few differences though: - It has amazon cloud for an extra storage. - Double space and more battery backup - Easy user interface - The kindle has a 3g option while kobo is without 3g option. The Kindle doesn't read epub files. It will read .azw, kf8 and pdf with no problems. However, on any ebook reader - including the nook and the kindle - reading a PDF file is a PITA; the screen is too small to read easily and scrolling back and forth and up and down is tedious. If you're going to be reading lots of PDF files, I'd recommend an iPad; bigger real estate = easier reading.

kindle is way better it has a bigger following better tech support and can be used for more then ebooks or pdf but im my opinion it will do what you need it to better then the kobo
