Do i need a custom firmware to put games on my psp?

Custom firmware on my psp!?!?!?!?!?!?

I have absolutly no idea what or how to put custom firmware on my psp fat. But I just found out that I need this in order to put downloaded games. So my question is how do u this this and is it free? Please answer becuase I am about to hurt somebody.. Thank You :D

its farely easy first off all we need to know what firmware u currently on right now??? if your firmware u on right now is under 3.50 then ur in luck u dont need a pandora battery but just lumines the game and u can downgrade to 1.50 then upgrade to any custom firmware . You can find the easy custom firmware installer on torrent site or psp-hacks
