How to update PSP firmware 3.71 m33-2?

Is it possible to update my 2.81 psp firmware?

  • i want to update my psp firmware 2.81 to a 3.30 so i can upgrade it again to 3.50 and then downgrade it to 1.5 with the Lumines plan. but i dont know if this will brick my psp. but first i want to upgrade my 2.81 firmware to 3.30 but is this possible and will it brick my psp? thank you

    just update right from 2.81 to 3.50.. theres no need to update to 3.30. yes, it could brick your psp. downloading directly from the sony site could brick your psp.... unplugging it while your updating will brick your psp. if you follow the thousands of guides out there to downgrade, you wont brick it... just dont do like many people do on here, and jump into it without understanding how it works.. heres the best guide http://www.pspmod.com/forums/firmware/8178-ultimate-downgrader-guide-2-00-3-50-updated-6-27-07-a.html
