How do you get custom firmware on your psp this one is really hard?

hi guys i just wanted to know how to get custom firmware on my psp basically whats happened is i can get the update and i can play it fine BUT im stupid because i have already upgraded and im on 4.05 version of official firmware so if i try to downgrade i cant because you need to have custom firmware uuuuggggghhhhhhh someone please help me im begging you! thank you in advance
