Blackberry curve 8520 problems?

BBM problems with blackberry curve 8520?

hello I got a blackberry curve 8520 from virgin media and Ive always had problems with bbm working when I'm connected to my indoor wifi or any other wifi it works fine but if I'm not connected to a wifi say if I'm walking around or at school I can't sen bbms not even broadcasts all messages hav a red clock next to them I'm wondering if I need I upgrade to a 3G phone but that's pointless considering blackberry messenger is meant to be really good :( any help is appreciated thanks!cx

It could be one of many reasons why it doesn't work for example: Signal strength, you need to call your service provider and pay 5 pound a month either monthly or on PAYG. If I was you I would just change to Orange or O2.. You could try using the school wifi system though. You could try phoning Virgin Media though probably your best bet! :)
