Best PDA for cingular?

Cingular PDA- Nursing School?

  • I'm in nursing school and they are suggesting we have PDAs so that we can have all of our drug guides and medical dictionaries downloaded and easily accessible- rather than carrying around tons of books. I am with Cingular (love them so no need to try to entice me elsewhere!) and I can upgrade in June so I figured I might as well get a phone/PDA and have one object to carry. I'm sooo confused/overwhelmed- I want to do a bit of my own research before I go see live phones in the store. Any suggestions on top PDAs- what should I be looking for?

The HP's are kind of out if you are doing an upgrade as Cingular doesn't carry them anymore (and with good reason). Any of the Palms are fine, Blackberry is cool (tend to be a bit more restrictive on what emails they are capable of based on plan but the plans are cheaper). The thing about the Treos are that some of them can be on a blackberry plan if that's what you want. I have a couple of friends who are VERY happy with their Cingular PDAs like the Cingular 8125 and later models. Honestly, you just need to take a look at the features that each one has and find what is the best fit for you. Just remember that, with Cingular, NONE of the PDA's are insurable.
