Netflix Streaming still possible with weak wireless signal? what's the minimum speed?

Android streaming video become very slow?

• Streaming video on my wifi Xoom has always been slower than my desktop, but still fast enough to keep up with the video's play speed. At first I noticed it with video in the browser, but now that I've checked, Netflix, YouTube app, and the Pandora app I can see that it seems to be a problem with streaming overall. I don't have wireless N on my router, as I've heard for some reason the Xoom doesn't like N. This super slow streaming has only started within the past couple days. I remember an update to pretty much all the Google apps(the marketplace, music, etc.) recently, so I'm not sure if that's the cause or not.

  Start by purging your browser and other apps caches. The check your available memory, and free some of the device memory if you are able. Now check your WiFi speed with SpeedTest or some other internet speed testing app or PC program. Reset or update your WiFi modem/router to the latest firmware. Now retest as see if things have improved. If not, check with your internet provider to see if there have been any outages or slow downs in your area, also check to see if you have gone over your providers data cap limits for your current billing period.
