  This is such a subjective answer because it depends a lot on your personal preferences. Do you have any experience with Palm software vs Win Mobile? Perhaps you have always had Nokia phones in the past and you like Symbian OS. I personally have had bad luck with Symbian (I bought a 6682 and it bricked on me several times) and I never really got onto the Palm band wagon in the 1990's. My first PDA was a Windows CE, and I really like the additional amount of software out there you can get for free. Games, applications, and just about anything else you want or need. When looking for your phone, consider the following: Will you be travelling outside the US with your phone? You will need a quad band phone if that is the case. Most PDA phones are quad band. What kind of memory expansion does it have? There is SD, MiniSD and microSD all depending on the manufacturer of the phone. This is important depending on what you will do. Will you load lots of Apps? Listen to MP3's? Watch videos? Surf the web? With microSD, you can currently only go to 1GB affordably, 2GB if you are willing to pay a bit extra, 4GB with mini and 8GB with regular SD. Who will you go with for coverage? This will also limit you to exactly what kind of phone you can get. Sometimes you can get a good deal on EBay, but my experience has been that EBay prices are very close to the service provider's prices. Good luck with your choice.
