What's the differences between a regular and a refurb phone from at&t?

A new phone means that it has never been opened and still in the box. If something is refurbished, that means it has been used but has been repaired to like-new conditions.

The difference is that a refurbished phone at some point had a problem and was returned to manufacturer. They then fixed it and re sale it a little cheaper. It also has to be under a certain amount of time like a warranty for a person to return a phone and it to be refurbished. You will get a nice phone, usually looks brand new with packaging materials and all. It's not a bad idea. I've done it with phones, Nintendo products and ipods. Give it a shot!

A refurb is a phone that was broke in one way or another and was fixed and is back on the market. Becareful cause some times you cant get insurance on refurbs or you can but it will only cover lost stolen or physical damage. There is a good chance the phone will have water damage as well. . Most new phones come with a manufatures warrenty so if anything goes wrong that is the companys problem they fix it or exchange free of charge.. you do not get that with refurbs. another way to explain it is its like a car you can buy brand new or you can buy use.... hope that helped answer your question and helped you make sure you get the best service. A reburished phone also means that some of the bugs have been worked out that a new phone may still have. They are cheaper and most are in like-new condition

They clean the phone and check out the parts. I wouldn't think it would save that much money because a phone is pretty cheap to begin with.
