Which is better for an 12 year old? An mini laptop or Ipod touch?

    I would want none of it myself. I hate slow computers and don't like using earplugs for music. However, if I had to chose one, I would select the mini laptop for the bigger screen.

Personally I don't see much point to having an iPod touch. It's basically a phone that can go on the Internet. Big whoop. But a mini laptop is cute, portable, and when you see someone with one, they look all important and businessy. Besides that, they can be used for school, and the screen is way bigger and the keyboard is bigger (so it's easier and faster to type on) and they also have Wi-Fi Internet and sometimes a built in web cam.

depends what u want it for, messin around and playing games, probably best with the iTouch. If its to be use for more serious things and games as well then get the Dell, fairly sure Dell still let u down grade to XP. Don't buy anything just for the brand name. Don't want to get into the whole style vs substance debate, but I'll just say I'm not an Apple fan.

iPod touch with a couple of vouchers for games and songs =] dell + vista = disaster.... Apple products all the way !!!
