Does it matter what battery u have for a psp-1000?

My older brother just gave me his old PSP-1000 and the battery power is very low. So does anyone know if it matters what battery i get for it, the battery mAh is 1800 and its a 3.6v.

go buy the 2400mAh or higher for 5h of play time (battery life) mine is 1200mAh only 2-3h
