Why is my NEW palm centro charging so slow?

Palm centro losing battery while charging?

• hey everyone i have a palm centro and since yesterday the battery has been giving me problems. i wouldn't use the phone AT ALL (no talking, no texting, no games, nothing) and in about ten minutes the battery was already at 70% even though i charged it to a full 100% before i left the house. now today i charged it to the full 100% again, and when I go to chack five minutes later, it says its at 97%, does this happen to any of you?

  Usually when the battery life starts to dwindle fast like that, it means that it's time for a new battery. But sometimes it'll be like that for a week or so and go away as fast as it started. It could also be that you don't turn off your phone enough. Turn it off and take the battery out and leave it that way for about five minutes. If the problem persists longer than another two days, then take it to your wireless company's store and ask them what might be going on and if it is the battery or the phone.
