How to send data from device to remote server?

Any good software/hardware that allow me to send data from a PDA to another one or maybe to a server?

• my father is a construction enginneer.so,he frequently visits construction sites.he needs something that can transfer data from a remote location (using a PDA) to a receiver(maybe another friend's PDA or company's data server). the data contains information about the details of a project at the construction site.He checks for any flaws of the construction and wants to send this info. and maybe the PDA includes some features like updating the data on the server.i heard that it is possible nowdays. any idea of a good software or hardware(PDAs) recommendations(that can work in sync)?thanks in advance for any of your help.

  any pda thats blue tooth enabled...and a blue tooth receiver or usb blue tooth adapter. that should work perfectly.
