What's the best Blackberry to get?

Do i have to have blackberry service to use a blackberry?

• i have verizon service. i am thinking about buying a blackberry curve. do i have to get the blackberry service to use the phone or can i just get reg. Verizon service? Blackberry service is expensive & I dnt wanna pay tht much! If i have to have blackberry service whats the best verizon pda to get? thanx!!!!

  With Verizon, you can use your regular voice plan but you have to add a Blackberry Data Plan to use the Blackberry. The plan is $29.99/mo for unlimited data if you are using it for personal email. If you are using it for business (business email, IT Dept setting it up) then you will need the Enterprise Data Plan, which is $45/mo. There is no way around this with Verizon. If you have a Blackberry, you must have a data plan. As far as what other PDA's you can choose, there is always the Palm Centro. I have never used one but have heard they are decent. I am a Blackberry lover so I am willing to pay the extra money to have an awesome, reliable phone.
