If a phone say it is a smartphone. Can I change it, where it isn't a smartphone?

Answer:
Your asking if you can change the unique "MEID" or "ESN" of a phone. So that the phone carrier will think it's a "non smartphone." Unfortunately this is illegal. I have looked in to the same thing hoping i could get a smartphone without data.

a smartphone is a phone that lets you navigate the web, download apps, check your email, etc. if you didnt want a smartphone, you should've gotten one that only lets you call, text & sometimes surf the web. that's the only way you can "change your phone to a nonsmart". there are still normal phones in the market so it won't be a problem.
