Do I need an Active phone line for Comcast Internet?

I need to call in for employment, if i use comcast phone service, will it get through?

• in order to get my money for employment, i need to call in. i need to have a phone that goes through wires, and that is a land line. i heard that comcast phones go through the internet modem. if i use it to call in, will it go through?

  It will go though the same as if you had a regular phone line. I have had an internet phone for about 4 years now. No one would ever know it was a internet phone unless I told them. Best part it, when someone calls my home phone number, it will ring the house and both cell phones at the same time. No one has to know if I am home or away when then call. I can also use quick dialing by way of my voice mail services and have people think I am calling from home when I can be miles away. Nice feature if you want to call in sick and be elsewhere ..lol
