Will a phone number show up on a landline bill?

Why would a phone number not show up on someones cell bill if I know they have been calling me?

• I recently had a friendship go sour. I'm not sure why except I think the woman was interested in my husband who was not interested in her. Anyway, she has been calling my job making "prank" calls. Very childish since we're in our mid thirties...but I talked to her about it and asked her to please be adult about this and stop. She swears she isn't calling. I told her that since I work in an emergency room, we have caller ID and I saw her number so I know it was her. She stopped by about a week later with a copy of her cell phone bill. She showed me her call detail list and my work number wasn't on there! How could this be? Does anyone know how someone could make a number not show up on the bill? I checked the date of the bill and it was the right one. She was very snide and acted like she was getting away with something. She is very electronic savy and I just wonder if she found a way to make calls without them showing on the call detail. Anyone know if this is possible?

  I will tell you that some soft ware out there is good enough to make copies of anything like a phone bill. If you get the template correct then you can manipulate the data any way that you like. The best thing is to get the bill she showed you and ask the telephone company if they have the phone account number in their data base, then ask the police to get the correct bill from the company. They are the only ones that can do it lawfully. Also, you may want to get her phone number and put a trace on it, but that takes a little more effort and probably money. Good luck!
