How To Find Area Through Mobile Number?

How can I find out from the area code of a land-line number which area it is assigned to?

  • When I am going through my itemised phone bill, and I see phone numbers that I do not remember or recognise, it would probably help jog my memory if I could identify the location of the number from the area code, e.g. 0151 would be the Liverpool area. How could I do this easily?

  • Answer:

Simply look on the BT site - it's all there ! ! !

try typing "area codes" into google. Maybe that would help? 01484 - Huddersfield 01924 - Wakefield 0113 - Leeds just to get you started =D m

MegSTAR

go onto the bt.com website and there is an area on it that will tell you area codes and the areas

InnocentPrincess

should all be in your phone directory

if you have got a phone book the codes are all in the front of it, but their website sounds a great idea, didnt know about that. I think we all get numbers we dont recognise on our phone bills-I always have a nagging doubt that BT just add a few in and hope that I dont notice. Their bills become more confusing every year :(
