Can you withhold your telephone number when you send a text message from your txt enabled BT landline?

I rent my line from BT and have a txt enabled phone. When i send a message with BT text, can i withold my landline number? Thanks in Advance.

If you put 141 before the number you are ringing, it should withhold the number. Send yourself a text to your mobile from your home number to check. When you dial 141, this is described as blocking your number, or 'blocking your CLI'. As mentioned above, it stops the called customer from knowing your number, but your phone company and their operators can always see it when they need to.
