Can I block a specific phone number on my magic jack?

How do you know the phone number to your magic jack?

• I just got a magic jack and plugged it in, I got a dial tone, but nothing came up on the screen so how do I know if I have my same phone number or what a new number would be? I want to cancel my old phone service. Is that wise? Do they use the number from your internet service? Can you receive calls or just make calls from the magic jack?

  I can hear calls perfect. When people hear me they say talk louder or I sound like I'm in another room. There's No customer service. Sometimes you have to dial same number 2 or 3X. Suggest you keep Comcast for a good 2 weeks. I can have Comcast living in West Michigan, but should I dump MJ, I'll go back to Vonage. Only 1 thing stopped me today going back to Vonage, no monthly home phone bill. I use magicJack to cut down min on cell phone. Also they did not have my area code, so if joe shmo calls from across the street he has to dial me long distance. If they are making improvements MJ isn't doing it fast enough. PS- You need high speed internet and computer must be on to receive or call out.
