How do I deal with harassing phone calls?

How do I stop these harassing phone calls?

  • Since this past Friday, August 6th my cell phone, my mother's cell phone, and my land line have been receiving phone calls around the clock from an automated telemarketer. The calls average twice a minute, or 2,000 per day. It makes it impossible to use the phone and clogs up my voice mail box, and that takes my minutes. It is a static pre-recorded message telling me about General Motors' 60-day satisfaction guarantee. The number shows up as "Blocked" on the Caller ID, or as 0000123456. I am told this is a Skype number. I have contacted Skype but they have been unhelpful. I have also contacted General Motors and they said they have nothing to do with it. My phone company says they do not have the capability to block blocked calls. This is happening constantly. I have unplugged the phone at home just to get work done or sleep. WHAT DO I DO?

The 'DO NOT CALL' list is a joke...I have it on my home and cell phone for a long time, and still receive lots of telemarketer calls. They just change their number each time...Wish some phone companies would address these annoying issues.!!
