What AT&T meant by international or long distance calls showing up on your bill are numbers you dial directly, not after dialing the phone card number first. So as long as you always make sure to dial the access number for the phone card BEFORE trying to call international or long distance, the only record of the calls you make will be with the phone card provider and not on your local phone bill. Even if you had detailed billing, the only number that would show up on your bill would be the access number of the phone card.
