What is the United States country code when calling from another country?

-
Answer:
From Canada, Mexico, Cuba, and all of the other countries close to the US, it's just 1 (1 (area code) (phone number)) If you are calling from Europe, China, Japan, Russia or anywhere around that area, you have to put the international code in front of it (011) (011 1 (area code) (phone number))

As the first poster wrote, the US country code is 1 (this is also used by Canada and some Caribbean nations). You do not dial 011 1 when calling the US from Europe, Russia, China etc (as suggested above). The correct way to dial is 00 1.
