How To Locate Landline Number?

Someone help mee! I need to get my landline number changed because of him..?

• Because he forces me to hav everything to do with him but I dont want anything to do with him anymore. He showed his true side!!. My life is soo much better! But the thing is he says he will tell my family by ringing my landline number If I dont listen to him!! :-( forget this bit anyway the main thing is.. I would get my landline number changed but!!! . . . The thing is whoever I speak to on BT will ask for the billpayers permission!! Which is my dad!! Wont they ask for my dad?? And what excuse am I ment to tell him? The reason I want you to change our house number is because..??? But I dont know what to say! Some one help mee please :-( I know ther are people out ther that are clever then mee!! And I cant say someone has got our house number and keeps ringing because dad will ask mum and it will become a really big thing!! Is ther anyway that I could ring the BT company up myself and say I need to change the house number because someone has got it that we dont get on with? What exactly will happen? And what number am I menta call? Thanks everyone!

  You can get numbers blocked, so if he always calls from the same numbers (maybe his mobile and his house number) then ring BT and block those numbers. Some handsets can block numbers too, depends on models and makes. If he is "harassing" you, then you can always threaten to call the police, if it doesn't stop then call your local non emergency police station. If your not the bill payer then your provider wont speak to you because of the Data Protection Act. If you were to give a false identity when speaking to BT and they change your home number, how do you think your Dad would react when he tries to call home one day then finds he cant as the number is cut off. He will end up calling BT and they will say "well you asked us to" then it will come back to you... Either be honest with your Dad and ask him to change the number or see if BT will block the guys number. Moral of the story, don't give out your house number, always give them your mobile...
