Is using cell phone safe?

Using call forward on a cell phone does it still use the cell phone min?

  • I want to forward my calls from my cell phone to my home phone number. Will it still use the cell phone minutes?

  • Answer:

Yes you will be burning minutes. Basically when you forward your number, then every call that is forwarded is a call made by your phone. Just like on a land line phone forwarded to a long distance number. Every call forwarded is a long distance call made by your phone.

Depends on your carrier, but in most cases that I am aware of (Verizon and AT&T at least), if you forward your cell to a number that would use your minutes if you actually called it from your cell, then forwarding to that number would also use your minutes.

Yes. What a dirty trick. When the cell companies first started, that wasn't the case. Good old United Telespectrum would let me forward calls to my long distance land line and I forwarded foreign exchange calls to my local cell number....free FX service! Then the closed the loophole :-(

Yes it would use your cell phones minutes as in forwarding the call the receiving phone is actually taking the call and dialing it forward to another phone.
