How can i block someone from calling my home phone?

Is there a way to block someone from calling your home phone?

• I have a Panasonic phone. This girl who use to be my friend called me at 1 in the morning and I dont want her to keep calling me in the morning because I know her and she is a person who will keep doing that!I HATE HER!!

  Call your phone company and ask them if you can subscribe to "CALL BLOCKING" service. There is a monthly charge for this and it does NOT work on all calling numbers. You CAN block another landline, most of the time, but you cannot block a cellphone number from calling you. This service will enable you to block 6 numbers but as I said, it has to be another landline number, not a cellphone number. The caller will receive a message that their calls are being blocked and usually if someone has been calling you all the time and they get this message, they're simply going to use another phone to call you. SO, there really isn't a way to effectively block someone who really wants to call you except if you change your number, which is what I would recommend. When you change your number, be sure that you ALSO make it private and UNLISTED. Be sure the phone company puts a message to be played when your old number is called that will NOT give out the new number. You would most likely benefit from a message that tells the caller that your phone has either been disconnected or changed to a private number. THEN, do not forget, if you make calls after your number has been changed, CALLER ID will identify your number to people you call. Your "friend" might be able to get your number this way so be careful as to who you give it out to. (You can oftentimes block the delivery of your calling information by dialing *67 and then the number). This works in most cases (not all, but most) and might prevent your friend from getting your new number. Good luck!!!
