How do you wire a telephone extension?

How do I wire in a "CMA122", Twin master telephone socket?

• Hello, I have recently purchased a double telephone socket, type CMA122, which is to replace the standard single one that I currently have, but given that this is a twin socket, I am unsure whether I need to wire in both the sockets. I presume if I want to connect my telephone line in the first connection, followed by my broadband into the second socket I will have to, but do I need to have two separate lines coming into the house. I currently have it wired up with whatever cable is connected to the socket pins is also connected to the second socket pins. Telephone line in, Master one, Master two, Green & white, Pin one, Pin one, Blue & white, Pin two, Pin two, Orange & white, Pin three, Pin three, White & orange, Pin four, Pin four, White & blue, Pin five, Pin five, White & green, Pin six, Pin six, By wiring it up this way the telephone & broadband lines do work, but I do feel that the broadband connection is very slow, which is why I feel I have done something wrong, so if anyone could educate me with exactly what the setup should be I would be gratefully appreciated thanks….   Try disconnecting all wires except pins 2 & 5 as the rest are not used any more and may be picking up interferance which is slowing down your broadband Reply to Additional Details As the socket plate has pins for both sockets I would think that there is no internal connection between the two so you were right to wire master A to master B. But even if the the two sockets are wired together internally your wiring is not going to make any difference electrically
