Did anyone got from MagicJack refund after the 30 days trial?

• I want to warn people about this product. It is hard to find any information on how to use it, the chat support is very slow as the agents are not available for long periods of time, with many long pauses between conversation, there is no refund after the 30 days trial and also you cannot use it with your fax machine. Here is a copy of my chat conversation with Magic-Jack Tech Support regarding fax and refund. You are now chatting with 'Max' Max: Hello, how may I help you? B: The information about using Magic-jack as a fax is not enough explained. I would like to know if to dial a number I need to do it on the fax machine or on Magic-jack pop-up window? Please note that these instructions may not work with some models. Max: When using magic-Jack, you may just dial the 10 digit phone number and then you can make a call. Max: Is there anything else I may help you with today? B: Why there is no refund offered if someone ordered few years plan? I do not use fax daily and at this time I found that what I would like to do is not possible with Magic Jack. Why I will not get refund for unused years? Now I try to find a job and there is many places where they like to have faxed application but the Magicjack is useless to perform such task. I just checked the original package from Target and I see that the package does not warn buyers that it does not work with faxes. I bought last year additionally to the first year of use of MagicJack 5 years plan and $10.00 international calls and I would like to have the contract ended if I cannot use fax with it. Jeane: Sorry for the typo, not in Terms of Service but in our Knowledge base site. B: yes, I purchased 5 years plan from your site. Jeane: Can I send and receive faxes using magic Jack? SOMETIMES. We do not officially support using faxing with magic-Jack. Please try the following steps to use magic Jack with your fax (contact your fax manufacturer for details): 1.Turn off error correction on your fax machine or program 2.Set the fax machine or program to use the slowest speed available 3.Increase the speed, checking at each speed that faxes work B: I had see above. The Knowledge base states that MagicJack will not do refunds and point to several tech gadgets which will not work with it. If you need just a phone it's OK to use MagicJack but please be aware that even 911 calls may not go thru.
