Cant seem to get my messages?

Cant get message light to go off on corded Panasonic KX-T7453. Please help!!!?

Hi, I have the Panasonic KX-T7453 at my work and for some reason we cant get the message light to turn off. Obviously there are no messages in there, but it for some reason will still not go out. At a point before we were able to push the message button and then push clear on the display, but for some reason that is not working this time. When you push the message button it will not do anything unless there becomes a message; however that is difficult to tell when the light always stays on. We have recently been transfered to a full automated phone system here and since I seem to be the only one with this problem. Is anyone out there knowledgable with these phones? Thanks so much!!! :)
Answer:

If you *really* can't press the MESSAGE button and read the display, then, from the intercom, dial 700 + your extension +#. You will clear all Messages to the phone.
