How to block a number?

How to Block a Private Number on Landline?

  • I have an annoying caller who repeatedly calls every single day around 10 times. I have their real number, but they call using "private number". If I call my service provider and ask them to block the real number, will they still be able to call using "private number" anyway? If yes, how else can I block them? I'm getting really ticked off. Thanks

  • Answer:

just activate anonymous call rejection by dialing *77 to block private callers from getting thru (if for whatever reason you want to disable this you would dial *87) callers will have to unblock their number with *82 before calling you... to block a number *60 is call block... even if they block their caller ID call block should still work, as it should be blocked on the ANI level and not from caller ID... however, if they are calling with a blocked number, they may be calling with a different phone/number, so blocking one number might have little effect..
