    Not possible for so many reasons. MJ still does not allow porting as of the last time I checked, but the other more important reason, you don't own the old home phone number anymore. Even if your new company allows porting, they can't pull the old resi number out of the pool. More like dirty pool if you ask me, but that's the telco's way of really annoying us.

can't do that... you would need to find out what phone company owns the thousands block of the number that you want, and try to establish a line of service with that company... then once you have the number you would be able to port your number to whatever carrier you want..... AFAIK magic jack does not port numbers, unless they recently started - but i still would probably not port a number to magic jack even if they did...
