Where to get this phone in canada?

If I ordered the EVO 4G (a US only phone) from-to canada, would it get service on a different carrier?

• I recently fell in love with HTCs newest amazing phone, the Spring carrier exclusive, EVO 4G. I am planning on ordering it even if I cant get service, but for now I would like to know.. Since it offers CDMA 1900/800 mhz signals, the same type of signals Telus and Sprint cover (and the others), but only telus offers canadian coverage, would I be able to root the phone and sign it up with telus? Is there any possible way to get service In canada if i buy a US only phone?

  if it is backwards compatible with CDMA then it MIGHT work for a CDMA carrier in canada... but you will not get 4g... sprint 4G network is wimax.. all other cellular carriers are going to be rolling out a LTE 4g network which is not compatible with wimax..
