Can I buy a magic jack, send it to a friend in Europe, and then call her for free?

can i call her magic jack number with any phone in the US? or must i have a magic jack as well? can magic jack make calls to cell phones? can cell phones call the magic jack number?

yes!! I've done that!! you can do it either way....you can call any number in the US and Canada, including all cell-phones! I take the MJ with me when I travel abroad so I can call back to the US for free, with on US area-code! If you wanna call a foreign country then you need to buy credits, just like skype, but the best and free way to call your family and friends abroad......buy them a MJ and mail it to that country! I have send so far 13 MJ to my friends, family and all the neighbors want one too.....so they also can call to the US..!
