Voicemail on the cell phone?

Know how to direct your house phone to your cell phone voicemail?

• I go through time warner cable and removed my voicemail today because the guy told me I could direct my messages to my cell...how the heck do I do that? He said it was free of charge, just trying to save some cash! Anyone help please:)

  The only thing I can think of is Call Forwarding. There are three types of Call Forwarding: 1) Standard Call Forwarding - all calls are transferred to the number of your choice immediately 2) Call Forward No Answer - all calls are transferred to the number of your choice after a programmed number of ring cycles 3) Call Forward Busy Line - all calls are transferred to the number of your choice if the number the person called is busy Typically, voicemail uses Call Forward No Answer and Call Forward Busy Line to forward your incoming calls to a voicemail box when you don't answer the phone or when your phone line is busy. You can use one or more of these to transfer your calls; but in the case of No Answer or Busy Line Call Forwarding, you need to have your provider provision the number to forward to in the switch. As far as I know, there's no way to have a No Answer or Busy Line transfer direct to a cell phone's voicemail box because the ID of the voicemail box is determined by the Call Forward No Answer / Busy Line of the cell phone. Therefore, the best you can do is transfer the calls to your cell phone number, which will cause the cell phone to ring and then dump to voice mail if you don't pick up or if you click "ignore call". Please be advised that you are responsible for any and all long distance charges incurred from all forwarded calls. So, say for instance your Time Warner line had a Florida area code but your cell phone had a Texas area code, you would be billed per-minute long distance (unless your Time Warner plan specifically states that forwarded calls fall under "unlimited long distance" and you subscribe to "unlimited long distance") for every call forwarded.
