How to block a number from calling my home phone?

  • I don't know what my phone company is and i don;t know how to get the company. But i have a number that constantly calls me and makes life harder. I just really need to block this number so everything will be easier.

  • Answer:

You need Priority Call Blocking and you can only get it from the phone company, that or change your number. If you don't know who your company is dail 611 on your phone that will get you to the repair dept for that company. You can also have the calls traced by doing *57 after each time they call. This will send the number to the Annoyance call bureau, they will send a letter of harassment and terminated the offenders phone line.

There is a device made by Digicom, (Privacy Call) that will allow you to block any numbers you want. Your phone will not even ring. You must have caller ID service for this to work. No monthly fee, you just buy the device. http://www.digitone.com

The only people who can do it are the phone company. So until you can find out who it is, unplug the phone. Your phone bill should tell you who the provider is.
