Is BSNL Landline connection a cheating?

• i have a BSNL landline connection and for the last 5months i am getting more than 3000rs as monthly charge and the most embarassing thing is that the std call hours is somewhere between 15 to 25 hrs per month. We only do one std call and it wont go more than 2hrs in a month..Please reply if you have the same pblm or tell me your suggestions. Will i get ANY compensation from BSNL for the last 5-6 months. Thanks in advance. I heard that BSNL employers often misuse and use our number to call abroad.... Is their any security pin to call

  This may be time taking but practical way to solve this problem. Get a detailed bill of your landline number. You can get it from nearest BSNL office. For detailed bill write a simple letter addressed to SDO, BSNL (Landline) asking them to send detailed bill for the months you require. Most BSNL offices are lazy to reply. So just after a week of your letter. Follow up with a RTI application asking the progress of your letter. For details on RTI plz check www.rtiindia.org or let me know if you need a format. Once you get a detailed bill. File a written complaint with local bsnl office mentioning all the details. Repeat the same RTI process after your complaint letter. I would check for repeated number to which calls were made???
