How To Find Land Phone Number Location?

How can one find out the land line phone number of a particular call if one does not have caller ID?

  • I have Verizon land line phone number. I used *69 and the phone rings but no one picks it up. This is bothering me.

    if *69 doesn't work, the person might have a private number.. which you still can't find out using *69. you could call verizon and ask for their advice, there might be another # besides *69, or they could figure out why it just rings all the time.

There is one basic way, but its very complicated. If you feel you are being harrassed, you need to file a police report. Once you get a case number you can call your phone company and place a trap on the line. At that point, anytime you are called it is logged (well it is now anyway, but is considered propietary information until legal action is taken). This information can then be provided to law enforcement and they can help you take necessary steps, such as getting a restraining order. If its not a harrassment issue and your just curious, sorry nothing you can do it get caller id and hope they are not calling you using *67.
